It’s all in the name – Dost Golf says it all.
It’s a fun competitive Golf Tour for friends who want to take their Golfing experience to the next level. If you thought playing Golf with friends was exciting, tournament Golf is a whole another experience.You think you are not that good, don’t worry. We have players with a variety of skill set (10 – 30 handicap). All our events are based on net handicap scoring so everyone has an equal chance of winning. All events are stroke play. We follow USGA Golf rules with a few exceptions which are described in detail in the Rules section.
We plan on arranging 8 – 9 events in the Metro DC area each year and you can play in as many or as few as your schedule permits. We usually pick daily fee or semi private courses to provide the best value. At the end of the day it’s about camaraderie and friendly competition, it’s not about Money.
We are not doing this to make money, therefore, all costs and purse money are passed through. We typically try and negotiate with courses so we can keep the cost under $125 for a round (including the purse). There are special prizes for closest to pins on all par threes to keep everyone interested in the round even if you are having a bad round.
